Note that there currently is a shortage of city hotels in Cebu. Even though new hotels are being built - such as the Parklane Hotel currently under construction across Ayala Center, and the new Marco Polo hotel which will take over the building of the defunct Cebu Plaza - the shortage of Cebu hotel rooms is expected to continue, especiall during the high season. The rates given in this site are provided in the same form as received from the hotels. In some cases the hotels provided us with "promo" rates - a discounted tariff rate for guests not booking via a travel agency in Cebu or elsewhere - and used that; otherwise, the tariff published locally in Cebu by the hotels was used. Normally, rates at Cebu hotels are not inclusive of Philippine taxes unless otherwise specified.
